Interesting Review of an Iconic-arbitrary Painting on Pigeon

From the archive. The date and writing reflect the original record.

Bernardus Gerry and Kho Giin Yaw reviewed one of the paintings on Pigeon.

Bernardus Gerr: Few weeks ago I came across this interesting painting, painted by a Malaysian artist, Keng Seng Choo. It is the transformation from iconic which is the birds pecking on the lower side of the painting to something more arbitrary on the middle-left area on the painting which expresses movement of the bird that I found very unique.

Kho Giin Yaw: for the painting of Keng Seng Choo, we can notice that is a transformation from iconic to arbitrary or is also can be a painting which have a combination of realistic and futurist. For the pigeon that pick on the food look so real and slowly the artist add some abstract line painting to symbolize the movement of the bird which is similar to the concept of futurist.
