From “Garis-garis Penghayatan”: We are pleased to inform you that our Gallery; Core Design Gallery will be hosting a Group Art Exhibition entitled “Garis-Garis Penghayatan” this end of june and would like to invite you to join us on the opening of the exhibition on the 27th June 2010, Sunday at 10am. We look forward to your warm presence on that eventful day!
Keng Seng Choo, a renowned painter whose works revolved around batik printing & water colour in his earlier days; took a liking to painting feathered friends which the artist fondly declares as one of his preferred themes; the pigeon symbolizing Peace & Freedom. Similarly in his recent works depicting female figures in rustic simplicity, Keng chose an abstract way of expressing by merging rigid yet rhythmic; passive yet active; creating a contrasting artistic affection.
Figure paintings somehow embodies the life essence of it all, the feelings and emotions of the artists bursting out released through the various expression ; the soft feminine curve of a woman’s nape, the dramatized accentuation of buttocks, imaginary mushy toes of a woman, and finally layers of superimposed bodies enmeshed on one another. Enjoy the greatest creation – human figures.
